Dean Park’s largest fundraising event of the school year is only days away!! With so much on offer, there really is something for everyone to enjoy – so come along and join in the fun at the 2017 Autumn Fayre, which will be held again in the concourse of Balerno High School.
The Big Sweetie Count will run in school all this week. P1-P7 children will have the opportunity to guess how many sweets are in the jar. One guess is 50p, 3 guesses are £1. The pupil with the correct guess or nearest number will win the jar (and its contents!). Winners will be in announced in school.
DRESS DOWN – DRESS UP DAY
All pupils are invited to take part in our Dress Down Day (P1-P7) and Dress Up Day (Nursery) on Friday 27th October, in return for bringing a donation for the Tombola Stall ie. a jar, tin, bottle, smelly goods, etc.
Many of our stalls rely on donations, we will gratefully receive donations of the following:
- Toys, Games, Dressing up Clothes and DVDs in good condition (NO BRIC-A-BRAC)
- Books (children’s and adults)
- Homebaking (please ensure the item is clearly labelled and if it contains nuts)
- Unused party bag items for small prizes
- Bottles of wine/fizz/spirits/ale**
**bottles of alcohol can be handed into the school office this week but must be by an adult.
Donations can be handed into Balerno High School from 6pm on Friday 27th October and from 9am on Saturday 28th October (or into Dean Park School/Nursery this week if anyone is unable to make these times).
The success of the Autumn Fayre is dependent on having enough people to make it all happen, so thank you to those who have already come forward with offers of help, however we are still short of volunteers.
It’s great fun, no prior experience is required and its also a great way to get to meet parents and staff so if you or your partner (grandparents, aunts, uncles too!) are able to assist for an hour or more please fill in the ONLINE ROTA on the PTA webpage .
We are short of facepainters this year, which is one of the most popular stalls with the children, so please if you or you know of anyone who can help do a shift please contact Nati at email@example.com
Thank you for all your support!
