The Sleepy Shepherd – A Dreamy Success

On Friday 14th December, parents, family members and invited guests were treated to two wonderful performances from our Primary 1 and 2 classes, in their Nativity play, The Sleepy Shepherd.

A move from Dean Park tradition, this year we saw Primary 1 narrating the play, which they carried out with eloquence and ease.  Their acting skills were equally honed and if any nerves were present they certainly weren’t visible.

Primary 2, a colourful spectacle in their Christmas jumpers, provided the backing sounds with their excellent percussion playing and together the year groups sang beautifully.

It was a wonderful production enjoyed by everyone. Well done to all the children who have worked tirelessly these past few weeks in their rehearsals, and to all the staff who made it happen.

Special thanks to Mr David Sloan for once again filming the nativity, capturing this special event which can be enjoyed by the children and their families for years to come.  DVDs can now be ordered via ParentPay.

We are extremely grateful to the PTA for providing refreshments and mince pies after each of the performances.

Last but not least, thank you to Mrs Gartside and the School Choir for their colourful and welcoming opening performances at each of the nativity shows.
