We aim to foster in our children a caring attitude towards the environment; for plants and animals. As we have a policy of free flow play, the children are free to choose whether they play inside the nursery or in our garden area.
In our garden we have apple trees, raspberries, strawberries and rhubarb. Each year, the children plant a wide variety of vegetables including potatoes, carrots, beetroot, radish, lettuces, onions, courgettes and much more. Together we harvest the vegetables and the produce is either sold or used for snack.
We regularly go on Woodland Walks in the local area with the children and visit the local shops. This year, we aim to utlise Malleny Gardens in our outdoor education.
If you would like to help us in the garden, on our local walks or you have any donations of seeds, bulbs or plants, please let us know.
