So who is PTA?
Dean Park PTA is a voluntary organisation and an association of which ALL parents and guardians of children attending Dean Park School (nursery and primary) as well as its teaching staff, are effectively members. Members are entitled to attend meetings, vote on proposals and make suggestions for spending or raising funds.
The main objective of the Association is, in partnership with the school and parents, to enhance the education and well-being of Dean Park pupils by providing resources and activities for the children as well as augmenting the facilities provided by the Local Authority.
How is this managed?
The General Committee, an elected group of parents and teaching staff, has responsibility for, and supports the administration of, ALL the affairs of the Association.
